Canberra Street Cat Alliance is an incorporated association.
We are always looking for more members to join the association! Being a CSCA member gives you the opportunity to nominate for an office-bearer position or an ordinary committee member of the association at the Annual General Meeting (AGM). Members also have the right to vote at the AGM. The Constitution provides additional information on members' rights and responsibilities.
The CSCA membership year is for a 12-month period that starts on 1 July and ends the next year on 30 June.

Volunteer code of conduct
The Volunteer Code of Conduct outlines the standards of behaviour and obligations that a volunteer agrees to adhere to when representing the Canberra Street Cat Alliance (CSCA).
The CSCA deems a volunteer to be a person over 18 years of age who assists the CSCA in a recognised capacity. Approval to be a volunteer must be sought and approved prior to undertaking any CSCA role or activity. This includes all CSCA Board members, CSCA Management Committee members and more generally those volunteering at events and/or assisting in the day-to-day operations of the CSCA.
1. Treat all members, volunteers, adoptive families (including their families) and any persons you come in contact with while representing the CSCA with dignity and respect.
2. Uphold the CSCA’s reputation and integrity by ensuring that your conduct, whether in person, online, or otherwise, is honourable and accurately represents the CSCA’s moral code and intent.
3. Be vigilant in ensuring a safe environment that protects our rescued animals and all members, volunteers and adoptive families from emotional, physical, verbal and sexual abuse.
4. Respect other members’, volunteers’, adoptive families’ rights to privacy and the confidentiality of their personal information.
5. Act with honesty and integrity when dealing with property, monies and any other assets belonging to the CSCA.
6. Respect and abide by the rules of our sponsored events and respect the event attendees.
7. Do not engage in any form of harassment, bullying or intimidation of any fellow CSCA volunteers or the public.
8. Where a colleague’s behaviour is clearly in breach of this Code of Conduct consider intervening constructively or bring it to the attention to the CSCA Management Committee.
9. Report any suspected fraud, corrupt, criminal or unethical conduct to the CSCA Management Committee.
**Any material failure to comply with this Code of Conduct could be sufficient grounds for termination of the individual from their volunteer position and possible legal action.
If you would like to become a member, please fill in the form below. It will be passed on to another member who will nominate you on your behalf and then passed on to the secretary . As soon as is practicable after receiving a nomination for membership, the secretary must refer the nomination to the committee which must decide whether to approve or to reject the nomination.
If your nomination is rejected your membership fee will be refunded.
